The album, I like. It is one of the few U2 Albums I can listen to, as it was released before the preachy bullshit days that would soon follow.

The Bar, not so much...

My favorite bar in the city is Emmett O'Lunney's/Harmony View in Times Square. Nice and low key dive bar where folks can talk. The Campbell Apartment at Grand Central is pretty cool too. Both are good for people who enjoy conversations more than loud music.

Joshua Tree is ok, but the crowd is way too hip and 20-something banker-snobbish. At least that's how it was pre-crash when I was going there with my friends from the analyst program. At least it wasn't as bad as the Hudson Hotel or The Pink Elephant.

I can't believe how popular J tree is

First time I went out in boston with some of my friends they said "were goin to J tree"

I'm thinkin its some hole in the wall place...

it was poppin, i liked it. would do again

Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis - when I was dead broke man I couldn't picture this

There are multiple J Trees in Boston? I'm only aware of the one in Brighton. The bar is okay -- I'm pretty sure they recently got shut down for a week for watering down the alcohol. Pretty much just endless college kids or recent college grads.

shorttheworldlol i like how i was referring to the nyc location and all these other references are coming out of the woodwork ;p to each their own though i suppose... are the boston ones owned by the same nyc people?

I had no idea there were locations in Boston, I just naturally thought you were speaking of the Manhattan location...
