Journey to learn to be a better man

Hello fellow community,

I am going to join a company full time starting August 2019. Since I started college I never took any time of to travel or do any other activities besides internships and focusing on getting a decent job finished college.

I now have around 6 months to travel and do anything. I want to learn and see things that will make me a better and more complete person, things that I wont be able to do down the road once I am part of the corporate rat race.

A couple of things I have always wanted to do:

  • Go some place to surf for 4 months
  • Go to a monastery and learn to properly meditate/practice yoga
  • Learn a new language for example Japanese

All in all I am looking for a journey to help me be a better man. I want the real thing and not some alibi 4 months trip to Bali full of instagram and snapchats.

So if any of you have had any meaningful journeys or trips that had a proper impact on your life, I would be thrilled to hear about them. Also, if you know of any monastery in Asia where I can elope for 3 months and learn some valuable teachings and lessons that would also be helpful.

Many thanks to all of you
