Just had hair transplant - now I need meet CEO/Boss of a large shop

Got myself in a bit of a pickle friends. I have started a job remotely (think Evercore, UBS) while they work on my visa to the states, and I thought I had a 3 week window before I would have to meet a lot of people in-person, and that this would be my only window to get a hair transplant.

Turns out, the CEO of the firm is flying into my city, and wants to meet me in-person. I will have had a hair transplant 8 days ago by the time we sit down. I think the only option is that I wear a hat?

My question is, do I acknowledge the hat? If I did, it would be short and sweet “I had a once in a career opportunity to wfh for 3 weeks, and a slot opened up with a surgeon, so I thought I would have the operation before moving to New York”.

What are your thoughts? Yes I recognize that this is comical, and I kind of had it coming. Any advice is appreciated.

after reaching adulthood, whenever someone mentions hair falls, baldness I try to relate. Even Though I have decent hair. I'm sure he will understand. Can be common ground or some storytelling to build rapport too

I’d send an email before meeting and say you’ve had some cosmetic work done on your head recently, but look forward to meeting.

I’ve seen the aftermath of a head injury in biking and the new results of hair plugs. They are very different. It would be a bad lie and bad way to start at this company. No need to be foolish, it’s just a hair transplant.

Dude you have no idea the extent of the injury... why flash your business around town. Life isn't some philosophy book you have to tightly adhere to

If this ubs, and you are meeting sergio(who is the ulitmate silver fox chad ceo with a great hairline) he will respect you more for taking care of something this important.  Certainly someone like Mr ermotti understands the power of a strong hairline.

Sounds like a cool problem to have!

Out of curiosity, how did you get from a "small" pe firm a few years ago to meeting with a ceo of a major bank?

Sounds like an interesting path!
