Kanye West is Crazy
Forbes snubbed and dismissed his financial statements for years until they could no longer deny his $B valuation. He's been on a spiritual journey and is recognizing Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He just recently collaborated with Gap Clothing Co. to make his clothes affordable. He's in the process of running for president 2020. What are your thoughts on Ye?
I love him. It's funny how unpolished he is, and everything he does goes viral in the worst way. The media outlets hate him so much, and it's so easy for them to take tidbits of what he says and make them sound bad. He's a crazy dude tho, literally, so I wouldn't want him as a President but I like a lot of the things he wants to do.
He's also been working with awesome architects to make affordable housing that doesn't degrade people's souls. I think a decent part of the Bay Area's success is from the Joseph Eichler homes and how it influenced the residents growing up. I'd love to see Ye (or anyone) take this idea and bring it to more places. I sometimes wonder how many lives were ruined due to those ugly ass projects buildings in new york.
To compliment what you said, he's pretty nuts. Wouldn't want him for 2020 either, though his campaign is a cool alternative for some entertainment. He recently confirmed has had talks with Jared Kushner about affordable housing, so it'd be interesting to see where things go.
Kanye West is a cultural icon, he is has a lot of power in terms of influencing the culture. I think Kanye going to places ideologically where a lot of people in his world would be uncomfortable going, or straight out refuse to go because its "bigoted" is very important for the young people who follow him because it's a view not often seen by them. As for losing his mind, I hope he'll be okay.

I think at the end of the day he is a relatively good dude in like the grander scheme of things. Like I do not think he should be talking about running for president because it could harm the candidacy of realistically either candidate but especially Biden. I hate to say it but I do think he is going off the deep end. Yet he also does good stuff like makes an effort to develop affordable housing. So in the end i dont know--he's complicated.
And I have always liked his music and brands to a somewhat lesser extent.
The man is complicated.

He put out some incredible music in the 2000s but it's been pretty sad watching him go off the rails the last 5 or so years. Losing his mother definitely took a toll on him. The latest shit he's been spouting about the whole 'planned parenthood controlling the black population' conspiracy seems pretty desperate.
The child abortion hype is very real, check the stats! Overall, it's just a narrative, political edge.
He says and does whatever he wants and he's worth $$$. What's not to like?

It is just depressing to see the issues that he has been tormented with play out in public. Just feel bad for the guy, money/fame ain't soothing agents for this kind of stuff.
