knowing tech from 50k feet

I wish I had studied computer science - if only to be able to make sense of tech investment.

I currently strive to educate myself on various aspects of technology, as I am a PE investor into cybersecurity, and before was the head of listed corp dev for a mobile Internet company.

But I'm always thinking I know too little.

I particularly feel this way when I see the video from Jeff Bezos, who quit his work at a macro fund because he saw the potential of the Internet and acted on it.

So how are you guys getting up to speed on the ever changing technologies that we invest in?

I mean, how do you really get to understand the technology at 50k foot level, and understand the macro trend, and yet do so on a really solid level?

Is it Coursera? Is it equity research reports? Good Youtube channels that talk about certain tech?
