Law --> Finance?
Anyone here who pulled the move from law to finance (IB/PE) and could answer on those?
- How you've made the move (network, applied directly, etc.) + at what moment in your career
- Do you work slower due to your lack of maths or Excel skills compared to your peers? Ways to improve on that?
- Comparison between things that you noticed were different in finance compared to law (style of work, management, etc.)? Things to keep in mind before joining IB/PE?
- Was it worth it?
Yo I haven't made that move myself. But loooook. I work in credit risk on a commodity book & MAN do we rely on our attorneys alot! I bet you could play up your contracts background in helping over-the-counter trading deals. Law would be a huuuuuuuuuuuge asset.
Could you elaborate on what the attorneys do for you?
