Liberal coverage of Hurricane Isaac is ridiculous

Ok. I've been busy lately and have drastically reduced my posting but have to get this off my chest, fellow monkeys.

So as you guys know, Isaac is bound to hit New Orleans and the Gulf soon. By all measures, it looks like it could potentially rival Katrina. Our thoughts are with the people who live in that area; hopefully, the damage will be far less severe than Katrina.

Having said that, the liberals' glee over Isaac coinciding with the Republican National Convention is disgusting. They are urging that the republicans not attack President Obama because it would be in "poor taste" to be critical when there's a national disaster. So the liberals want us to totally change our agenda because of a disaster that is beyond any human being's control? Are you freaking kidding me? Obviously they want the republicans to not criticize their Messiah since he has such a dismal record. But seeing people on CNN and MSNBC repeat this line is nauseating.

We can chew gum and walk at the same time. We can wish the best for the victims of Isaac while having a successful convention that highlights the failures of President Obama while discussing the alternative vision that Romney-Ryan represent.

SRRubio123Anytime I read or hear "liberal coverage"/"liberal media" etc I just stop reading
This. It's not conservative enough and therefore must be a plot. If you want objective insight, read CSM, daily CSR reports, and then scan half a dozen news outlets to get a pulse on things. Most news is slanted one way or another, some MUCH more so than others, and some much more flagrantly so. The only thing that matters is information. I'll interpret it for myself, thank you.

Stanford and Wharton also have top 5 MBA programs, within the set of schools known as the M7, which is affirmed by US News and World Report, Business Week, and Financial Times.

I heard M7 schools have the highest caliber young people in the entire country - the future leaders of America and the world. By day they study hard, preparing to take over the world some day, but by night they party like rockstars and hook up with hotties. They frequently use their M7 private jets to fly to exotic foreign vacations where they create memories and forge bonds that can never be broken. Oh, to be an M7!

BTbankerHow dumb you have to be to live on the Gulf Coast? As if the last 10,000 hurricanes didn't serve as a good enough warning.

I actually live about 60 miles from the Gulf Coast. Dont confuse New Orleans with the rest of the Gulf Coast. New Orleans is a shithole that is below sea level.

Kiddo, how heartless you have to be to say something like this? You think everyone is fortunate enough to choose?

I'm going through "Hurricane Isaac" right now in Miami Beach. I can tell you this much: it's nowhere NEAR the severity of what Katrina was when it hit us. Most stores are open today, people are driving on the highways, there's an abundance of gasoline, etc. When Katrina hit us we had palm trees were on the floor, our electricity went out, we couldn't find an open gas station for nearly a week, etc. The liberal media really did exaggerate the predicted severity of the storm.

Guess it wasnt an isolated incident...

Missouri U.S. Senate candidate Todd Akin has deepened the controversy surrounding his candidacy today by claiming that science educator Bill Nye is to blame for Hurricane Issac - the deadly storm currently menacing New Orleans

People can ignore it if they want, but there is a liberal bias in the news. The hit piece on Romney is a perfect example.

Love how they gave Romney shit about Vietnam. And yes, I read the retorts to my comment about how Obama wasn't in Vietnam (before my post got locked). Obama didn't serve and neither did Romney. But CNN just had to make it out like Romney should have stepped up and volunteered while their golden child BO never served in his life.

Seriously? Serving in Vietnam? Maybe this was addressed in your other post or whatever...but the Vietnam War ended in 1975. Obama would have been 14.

I'm pretty certain the hurricane is just God's way of punishing conservatives for not believing in climate change.

As I mentioned that NOT serving was brought up against Romney, when Obama has just as much military service as Romney.

Not only was Romney in college during the war, but his draft number was very high. Either way he wouldn't have been drafted. The CNN goes on to mention how he didn't volunteer though.

When you have a president with no military experience and a competing candidate with none, it reeks of bias to try and frame things as if Romney dodged the draft, which he didn't.

happypantsmcgeeAnd its finally happened, folks. We have made weather political.
"Who does Issac think he is? If he wants to use his limited airtime to conjure up images of Katrina, fine. But don't rock the boat(s) at our convention." -Newt Gingrich

"Issac is not affiliated to the party in any way and is entitled to his opinion. Besides, for years the 'do nothing' wind has subverted our green energy initiatives by not contributing their fair share to power generation." -Debbie Wasserman

Agree. I love how people try and make it out that Romney didn't work for a damn thing in his life, while Obama was toiling away without a single hand out :(((.

Romney "didn't build that". Whatever. CNN is a garbage propaganda network, nothing more.

News outlets play up hurricanes like crazy. For no reason too. "IT'S GONNA BE A CATEGORY 1 WHEN IT HITS OMFG!". Dude I played golf in a Category 2 hurricane a few years back, and in Isabelle I was at the beach watching the storm roll in. Anything Cat. 3 is a joke. They just like the ratings of making it sound like a disaster. That said, the constant "Katrina" thing is obnoxious and disrespectful. It's prob gonna cause like no damage to NOLA because it's not strong at all. The levees in Katrina didn't break until after the storm and it was a strong Cat. 3. Isaac will prob be a weak Cat. 1. This is just license to remind people that Bush f'ed up Katrina (although if you think about it it was the government as a whole and Obama is pushing for more of that inefficient crap).

Reality hits you hard, bro...

I'm not a democrat. I only seem like one because I believe hurricanes are caused by differences in barometric pressure , and not by God's hatred of homosexuals.
