lin seems like a nice guy and pretty good ball player, but im a nets fan. i kinda wish dwill just shut him down the first game and then he could do whatever,
It's a fucking BS comment. Was lucky enough to meet J Lin onetime and is the nicest dude ever / chill as fuck, just like all my Asian bros. The dudes pulling the Knicks out of a top heavy doldrum from Carmelo who can't do shit to win games without someone doing all the grunt work and dishing him the ball +50 times a game. Bro prolly has an 8 inch dong soft, no homo...I think at least.

He seems solid if not the product of 'no one else is scoring, so I'll fill it up'. Saying that, he's getting to the line and not hitting jumpers so I'm thinking he's the real deal. Amare will love playing with him, Melo on the other hand will not. Anyone see him on the bench, thinking shit, I'm losing my team.
Love how he took it to Kobe but I dont think he or anyone else thought anything of it. Great game for him and hope it continues for him. Love how the Knicks are repping the Ivy League basketball teams between Lin and Fields.
went to the game vs Jazz on Monday and was very impressed. Dude played an Linsane amount of Linutes and was still hustling his ass off on every play. Saw Lakers game last night as well. Hope he keeps it up. Cant wait for the game tonight.
Actually, I don't think that's out of the question. Dude does have an AB in Economics from Harvard after all. Speaking of which, I don't even want to know how many marriage proposals this kid is going to get from Asian women and their parents.
Really interested to see how Lin mixes with Melo and Amare when they get back. Melo's been kind of a black hole this year...but he kind of had to be because nobody on that team could distribute or run a good pick-and-roll.
D'Antoni's a good coach (at least offensively), I bet he finds a way to make it work

Amare will be fine because Lin will be able to feed the ball linside to him. Melo, however, will be interesting to see how that will fit. But like you say D'Antoni should make it work.
People saying Melo is upset that he is "loosing his team" are sorely mistaken. It was actually Melo and Tyson who implored D'Antoni to put J Lin into the lineup. They knew he was talented. We actually haven't gotten to see enough of Melo this season to know what will happen when he is inserted back into the lineup. He has been hampered by injuries all season and has been out for stretches. He can play with a good PG who makes good decisions (Chauncey Billups). It will work out just fine for the Knicks and if Lin continues to penetrate and dish like this, they can make some noise in the playoffs, especially considering that Amar'e's production should skyrocket.

Sorry, I forgot that you were privy to conversations between Knicks players and the coach.
Melo's missed 6 games.
Billups was a good PG in '04. And I'd hardly call jacking pull-up 3's with 18 left on the shot-clock 'good decisions'.
I wasn't a believer until last night. I thought "Oh, good couple of games, nice story. He'll be able to stick around for a while now." until last night.
He sliced the Lakers up. Shooting 56% over his last 5 games (including a loss to Boston before Linsanity started.) I'm hopping on the bandwagon, hoping he can keep it up.
MM IB -> Corporate Development -> Strategic Finance
Damn, I can't stand not being able to watch games given the timezone difference and poor coverage where I am now. Seriously considering getting the NBA League pass to watch this kid play.
League pass is extortion this year. Half a season and they hike the prices massively. Waiting for the playoffs and catching any game I can in local bars. There's this great sports bar in London open 24 hours so I've been spending quite a bit of time in there recently. Online feeds have sucked so far.

Not bad but still not good
Just watched the game an hour ago.
They showed a NY Post front page line saying "May the Best Man Lin", with a picture of him and Kobe.
While he was dropping 38 points (and adding 7 assists and 4 rebs) on the Lakers.
lin seems like a nice guy and pretty good ball player, but im a nets fan. i kinda wish dwill just shut him down the first game and then he could do whatever,
I wonder how long he can keep this up... or if he's the real deal.
Kobe got his mouth shut tonight. cocky bastard.
Great to see a Humble guy just rock it in MSG, hope that the team can still keep the momentum when Stat and Melo come back next week.
Lin is definitely giving the team a big jolt of adrenaline right now though, which is really helping them while their superstars are out.
Basketball. Just one more thing Asians will come to dominate. ;)

All I do is Lin, Lin, Lin.
Lin is Awesome. He is humble, smart, and ambitious.
Linsanity!!!
What are his exit ops when he leaves the NBA.
ESPN NBA anaylst or possibly associate
He had a 3.1 GPA as an Economics major at Harvard. But he looks like he's going to have unique work experience. I say HBS/GSB to HF, in sales.

I heard New York City was going CRAZY during the games...

Hey guys, noob here and I am wondering, how do I break into NBA from a nontarget? Also how much does being a URM help in the recruiting process?
Thanks
I hear networking is a good way to get your foot in the door... reach out to alums who've broken in.
.
Man is straight killing it. Went to the game Friday vs the Lakers and it was unbelievable.
I, along with a ton of other WSO monkeys, have a very similar background to JLin. He makes me feel like a lazy retard.
How does a 3.1 at Harvard, for an athlete, compare to non-athletes GPAs? Like ~3.6 for non-athletes?
Did anyone catch the story?
http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nba-ball-dont-lie/jason-whitlock-apologiz…
Took longer then I expected.
People are way to butt hurt over something so stupid. He made an off color joke who cares move on from it. America the land of the PC.
the fucking PC police will murder anyone for saying anything.
Carmelo is coming back and Lin is going out....that is how it is.
how do you figure, they play completely different positions.
This is unbelievable. Since when did Harvard create basketball players.
P.S Floyd is a retard.
What a game!!!
That last play was gutsy as heck.
Kid's on fire.

He deals amazingly with the pressure! Surprised
Holy shit she is dumb. But she's so hot I forgive her.
Linsanity went off today against the Mavs. That 3-pointer in Dirk's face was fucking epic. Spike Lee looked like he was about to lose it.
Amazing game... I didn't think they would win against the Mavs. But the Heats game is going to be brutal though :/
I'm pretty sure people were saying that before the Mavs game.
