London SA 2022 Accommodation
I will be interning in Canary Wharf for the summer, and I have been looking for a room on Spareroom, Rightmove, etc. with no luck. Anyone know what would be the best alternative if that doesn't come to fruition?
I am well aware of student accommodation, and that is always an option, but it is quite pricey, and there doesn't seem to be any dorms near CW for a reasonable commute. Please correct me if I am mistaken.
Aside from these two, are there any other sites or options that people have used to secure accommodation? It is just an annoying time period to find a place for, cause nobody wants to rent out a place for 10-11 weeks, let alone to some 21-year-old intern.

Try Open Rent. You deal directly with landlords and homeowners so no fussy contracts. You can also filter by duration of stay with plenty of places offering 1-3 months stints.

Do banks provide references and any idea whether short-let landlords accept them as sufficient for a summer stay in London?

Is anyone still looking for summer accommodation? Haven't been able to find a place yet and I'm starting to worry I might have left it too late.

Its not too late don't worry. Found my place by the end of May for an early July start last year. It was University accommodation providers by one of the London Uni's and I could probably have booked it 2 weeks prior to moving in (if I wanted to).
Thanks for the reassurance, I'm trying to look for more uni style accommodation now as well. Wish there was something similar to Claredale house but for interns who want to be closer to canary wharf.
