I am thinking about joining one of the meetings! Is it a nice way to network with current investment bankers, or are there mostly just students/ people interested in finance looking for a job?
I've only been to the NYC meetups which have been mostly professionals attending (there were at 21+ bars), but imagine there will be a mix of professionals and students attending
I would be in for both days. I was also at the WSO meeting in London - George Pub is a nice pub and very easy to find. It was not crowded at all when we had the meeting so it was really a great pub for the meeting.

I must say there was rather a bit too much Celine Dion being played at the George during the last WSO meetup... That said, in for either date. Would suggest the Vintry as a potential alternative - Fuller's pub, massive beer and ale selection, and in the middle of Bank / Monument / Mansion House tube stations.

Easiest way to find it is to come out of Liverpool Street station, Starbucks side if I remember correctly and go straight right. It will be on your right and most likely packed.
If we got a head count going in order to try and reserve some tables that would be cool, I know we were all regretting our huge circle we formed at the door last time.

Mid way between Mayfair and the Wharf and in the City = maximum accessibility! Might consider one around Covent Garden / Soho though.
count me in for Soho / Covent Garden but I'm not making the trip when I get out late to Liverpool Street only to cab it back to Notting Hill later..
