Long Jack Daniels

Writing about recession-proof companies and sectors is the media's new favorite thing to do, but I come to you today bearing gifts of a more serious and awesome nature.

The Brown-Forman Corporation (BFB), which makes Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort and Finlandia Vodka, has officially confirmed we are drinking ourselves silly in these days of the downturn and it's helping their stock quite a bit.

Good news going into a solid weekend of frigid temperatures and snow in the Northeast, but Jack Daniels appears to be a cure-all in this climate.

Hell, the JD brand is even sponsoring all this crappy economic news too! - http://www.wallstreetfighter.com/2008/10/what-we-really-need-now-is-som… . Now that's a company that has all angles covered.

I learned to like jack daniels last year at a Halloween party almost everyone is a whiskey drinker that i know but i'm more a vodka type. We were taking shots of it so maybe thats what did it but i never felt so drunk, i thought if I didn't leave i'd surely end up in some kind of alcohol rehab the next day it was going down just to easily.
