I have spent time in both locations, they are both great spots for gaming and entertainment. It depends on what the visitor would want?

Las Vegas is my all-time favorite, but I am biased since I used to live there and have also worked for a casino on the strip.

It was a part-time job pre-graduation. Casinos used to be more fun back in the day, the younger generation are not really into gaming/betting and the entertainment options are often aimed at either families or more mature guests. (the day/night clubs are excellent but also very, very expensive)

I moved back to Las Vegas at the beginning of the pandemic, but then they shut down every casino and there wasn't anything to do.

All in all, a great place to live. Nevada is a fairly empty state but there some advantages to that also. Less traffic, lower costs, different people and attitudes.

Big downside for Las Vegas is that many people work "in the industry", so either at night or purely focused on gaming businesses. Often this means being on call or available seven days a week. Income can be high for specific jobs (i.e. attractive/skilled bartenders can make 100K+), but it lacks opportunities for degree qualified applicants. They do have finance jobs but they will most likely be for the casino groups.

Dating is another nightmare... Las Vegas is a very transient city. People who move here have often failed in other places and this might be their last chance to turn things around. It is very difficult to meet girls who are educated, in professional jobs, are not selling their bodies, etc - and shift based jobs  (including night shifts) could mean that people don't have that much time for a relationships.
