Macro friendly takeout on bulk (NY)

Hit me with your macro friendly takeout meals in the city for those late nights at the desk. Looking for things that aren’t tasteless, won’t make me feel like shit, and will help keep my weight up (have a tendency to not enough and lose weight in this job)

Thanks squad

Based on the most helpful WSO content, meal delivery services are a great option for macro-friendly, bulk meals in NYC. Here are some recommendations and insights:

  1. Freshly:

    • Pros: Good taste, convenient, and meals are pre-cooked and individually packaged. You just need to heat and eat.
    • Cost: Meals start as low as $8.99, which is budget-friendly compared to typical NYC takeout.
    • Macro-Friendly: Offers options catering to specific dietary needs like Paleo, Vegan, and lactose-free, making it easier to hit your macros without compromising on taste.
  2. Munchery:

    • Pros: Good selection, decent pricing, and an easy ordering process.
    • Cons: Meals often include heavy starches, which might not align with your macro goals if you're looking for more protein or fiber-rich options.
  3. Sprig:

    • Pros: Great taste, usually organic/healthier, and good for last-minute decisions (no planning needed).
    • Cons: Limited selection, but the available options are generally high-quality.
  4. Home Chef (similar to Blue Apron):

    • Pros: Meals are healthy and don’t take much time to prepare. While not pre-cooked, they save you the hassle of shopping and can be tailored to your macro needs.
    • Cons: Requires some prep time, which might not be ideal for late nights.
  5. General Benefits of Meal Delivery Services:

    • They save time and help you stay focused during "hell weeks."
    • They are healthier than most restaurant or food court options, which are often loaded with salt, sugar, and fat.
    • They cater to specific dietary needs, making it easier to maintain your weight and energy levels.

For late nights at the desk, these services can provide a stack of fresh, healthy meals in your office fridge. Just microwave for 2–3 minutes and get back to work without compromising your health or productivity.

I mean your go-to for solid macros is chipotle double meat bowl, (u can do the nutrtion calc online with whatever you want and configure it to your pref macros) or a panda express plate (the option between bowl and bigger plate). For the 2 entrees get all teriyaki grilled chicken. This will be like 660 cal for 80g of protein or something like that. Get whatever side you want but super greens is a good clean one imo, but I suppose you could get the lo mein if you felt like it but ofc makes the meal less clean.

Not in NY but Sweetgreen is always a solid option. Can get salads that are like 500-600 calories with 30-40 grams of protein. If you need to up your calories, they also have air fried potato wedges you can try out (or just order a second salad).

Not the most delicious takeout in the world but definitely the cleanest ingredients you can find. They cook everything with sea salt and avocado or olive oil.
