MBA admissions question

Happy new years to everyone. I have a question regarding t15 MBA admissions.

Currently a second semester junior at a non-target LAC. My school, although selective and very well respected for grad school and other disciplines etc, has little finance presence although I know a reasonable amount of people who broke into high finance roles through the traditional SA route by hustling or post MBA.

I am an Econ/Math major and I fucked up my first year. I earned a 3.16 GPA (no C’s) because of a poor work ethic. It was my own fault and I took accountability. My GPA is now 3.52 after multiple near perfect semesters and I plan to keep this up and graduate with a 3.6 or higher. I got a nice FP&A internship at a BB which I am grateful for but I missed out on the IB dream.

I want to pursue a top MBA in the future to take a crack at recruiting because, frankly, I have a chip on my shoulder. Do top MBA’s factor in strong upward trends in academics when it comes to admissions? I know MBA programs look at applications holistically and my GPA will not disqualify me but I was wondering if schools might be lenient about my poor first year performance.

This is all years down the line after, ofcourse, and I’m not trying to be a weird hardo. Who knows if my life goals and ambitions change as I grow older. I might not even end up working in finance etc but I was just thinking about this and was hoping to get some insights.
