Just started banking in NYC and would appreciate the opportunity to thank some of you lads on here who have offered indirect encouragement and guidance on various topics throughout the past couple years.

Yes, a few. I have two friends who I’m closest with. One I met in middle school, one I met on WSO. Pretty cool how life works out.

i'd love to meet more WSO members! but, i'm so shy lol. i'm not sure anyone would really care to get to know me if anything. i'd be happy to grab a drink with some of the people here, even if it ends up just being a chill night out!
Late to the party, but yeah, two total. Both were actually normal people - to my surprise! Good dudes, both of whom I stay in contact w/ this day. At the risk of sounding pretentious, it's a personal policy of mine to only connect w/ certified users. Wish it wasn't that way, but far too many trolls on this site nowadays. If you do decide to meet up with someone who you meet on WSO, Reddit, or ANY internet-based platform, please exercise EXTREME caution. Not trying to push the notion of "aHAHhahahahHHHHH everyone on the internet is automatic bad man" but just know that it's a lot easier to lie behind a screen. By demonstrating yourself in person you open yourself up to massive liabilities, whether that be career-wise or social.
I'm lucky my experience has been positive. From the comments I've seen, there are a couple of folks I'd love to get the opportunity to meet IRL.
