Money still does not buy class.

Can't believe he blew a million on what must be the ugliest house in the world, some shack in the slums in the same city might be more aesthically pleasing than this.

And getting a well diversified portfolio of appartments throughout major cities and holiday resorts employing the same billion would have been much more practical as well

Well, the building is rather practical. It has a lot amenities in a centralized location. I think what you meant was, that this was not really the best use of his capital ...

What makes this a house and not a skyscraper owned by a guy that happens to live there? If some Prince from Dubai bought the Sears Tower and lived in it, does that make it a house? This is just fucking ridiculous.

This was built with the intent of being a single residence, and will be used as such, as opposed to the Sears Tower which is an office building with commercial space.

It is ugly, not doubt about it, but I'm a huge property/architecture/design whore, so I would kill to see the inside, plus...

...opulence, I has it.

iyadatuanyou cant call a 27-store building a house, i bet he would end up using just 3 rooms...

Technically, I think it will be known as the World's Most Expensive Private Residence...not "house". But you are probably right, very little of it will probably be used on a regular basis. It would actually be rather cool to work in the house (other than being a servant, of course) because you could probably get away with using all of the stuff you wanted and enjoy the billion dollar home you could never afford.
