Most “like in the movies” day?
IB/PE is often glorified in movies and TV shows, often showing a more glamorous view of the work, like analysts are the crux upon which the world is dependent upon, rather than just some excel monkeys.
But what was a time where you genuinely felt like you were living in a movie script? Coke snorting VP, MD undercover as analyst, I’m curious to know. And if no one has those 2 ideas before, I’m selling to Hollywood.
It's a lot like the investment banker episode of the office. You travel to the middle of nowhere to look at a dogshit company with a clueless management team, to get the outcome your client wants.
Wasn’t investment banking, however I was in the WF MMB analyst program, 6 months in Charlotte with guys and girls my age. Partying every weekend and getting coked out of our minds. So much fun, still keep in touch with some ppl in my class
