Moving from DC w a toddler - where to move?

Moving to NYC with a 2 year old and my wife who’s a freelancer. Family income will be $270ish. Any ideas on where to get a 2 bedroom apt with an elevator (i know, impossible) at 950sqft+ for under $3700/mo in a neighborhood w lors of families and free toddler stuff? Commuting to Bryant Park. Thanks!

Financial district - you may be able to get a 1bedroom + 'home office'

Very family friendly area, luxury buildings, doormen, elevator and easy commute to Bryant Park

  • Wall Street
  • Exchange Place -Gold Street -Water Street

Also can look at 'Battery Park City,' which is a few blocks further south on the southern-most tip of the island near Statue of Liberty.

Lastly can look at luxury buildings in the area around Barclays center ....it's Brooklyn but still an easy commute with some really nice/affordable buildings
