Need Lawyer to Draft NDA

Can anyone recommend an attorney to draft an NDA that protects the confidentiality of a machine learning algorithm? The algorithm involves the stock market. I prefer someone barred in New York or Florida. If you don’t know someone do you have any recs on how I go about finding someone?

Thanks!

Based on previous WSO threads, here are some recommendations:

  1. Finding a Lawyer:

    • BigLaw Firms: Consider reaching out to large law firms that specialize in technology and intellectual property. These firms often have the expertise needed to draft robust NDAs for complex algorithms.
    • Legal Directories: Use legal directories like Martindale-Hubbell or Avvo to find attorneys who specialize in intellectual property and are barred in New York or Florida.
    • Referrals: Ask for referrals from colleagues or professional networks who have had similar legal needs.
  2. Considerations:

    • Specialization: Ensure the attorney has experience with technology and intellectual property law, particularly with machine learning and algorithms.
    • Bar Admission: Verify that the attorney is barred in New York or Florida, as you specified.
  3. Online Platforms:

    • LegalZoom: Platforms like LegalZoom can connect you with attorneys who specialize in drafting NDAs.
    • UpCounsel: Another platform where you can find specialized legal help for drafting NDAs.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.
