in OP's defense, what he's referencing isn't really news. Just a super cringe write-up on four 25-year old analysts/back office kids larping as Patrick Bateman, absolutely comical.

Absolute clown show. The New York Post article is just a snip of the full interview (link is in the Post article).
Putting aside how cringe this was, it’s a display of incredibly poor judgement on the part of these analysts to publicly put this out there.

Nah these kids are fine. If your hobby is fashion, and you get to be a model in a fashion magazine, then good for you.
I skimmed through the articles and all it mentioned was their hobbies, background, etc - nothing that could get them fired

It’s the fact they chose to do this on the news. That’s the lapse in judgement. Live your personal life however the hell you want, but don’t invite a reporter….
I understand that the Post is the closest thing we have to a legitimate source of right wing journalism, but that doesn't mean anyone should take it seriously. It just means it's a little less of a joke than every other entertainment outlet that terrifies elderly conservatives into thinking they're about to be the subject of a home invasion by "some Puerto Rican guy".
