You really thought making a thread to brag about how much money you have would be a value-add?

Wasn't bragging. I don't know what position other students are in. I'm honestly worried I don't have enough to start life. Was trying to gain perspective.

You have lived, at minimum, an upper-middle class lifestyle growing up if you believe $30k in the bank at 22 years old is cause for concern. It shows you how out of touch you are with the “common man”.

Welcome to adulthood. Now it’s up to you to provide for yourself. Majority of college students graduate with a bullshit degree, thousands of dollars of debt, and limited earning potential due to both their lack of a relevant degree and lack of ability to “make things happen” through critical thinking, perseverance, and hard work.

I graduated college with $10k that my parents gave me a long time ago. I then lived at home for 1.5 years where I paid for nothing but my car (which my dad wrote a check for and had me pay him $500 a month until it was paid off) and gas.

I saved $40k during this year, had a “net worth” of $50k, then moved out. Second job paid significantly more than my first, and in that next year, I saved $50k.

It’s up to you how you spend your money. You’re going to one of the highest paying career fields there are. You will be in the 99% of earners for your age. Go blow your money on clubs if you want; just don’t complain about how it’s so difficult to save money.

To summarize, your perspective is that of a sheltered child who has never had to truly provide for himself. You’re in a great spot with those savings, and your career choice allows you an insane upside. Congrats on your success so far in life, but try and see how people with more/less money live.

Understand but not what I was looking for. Feel like there are many in a better financial position then me. Don't have much financial support from my parents. Not sure if I'm starting life behind the pack

“I have 30k”

“Starting life behind the pack”

Again, you have absolutely 0 idea how the average American lives. I’m not trying to shit on you, but rather show how sheltered you are.

Anyways, stop comparing what you may or may not have to others. There are people with more money than you. People with less money. Just focus on yourself. Don’t keep up with the Jones’s because I promise you, you simply won’t be able to compete.

It’s collrge, please go outside, have some fun and get laid. Although your numbers are very impressive, this post seems more telling of your character / personality. More value in telling others your path and what you did instead of comparing when you’re very well aware that most kids struggle financially / with money or the financial position they were put it. Thx

This must be a troll post, or you're disconnected from reality. Most people - especially college kids - are in debt. More than 50% of Americans can't afford a $1000 emergency, and you're talking about your $23,000 in cash. Try to avoid talking about your bank accounts - especially during a looming recession, high-interest rates, and high inflation; this is one of the fastest ways to get people to dislike you.
