Another nail in the coffin of what once was, the freest, richest nation in human history.

Dark times ahead of us. Be prepared.

It looks like the most alarming provision was removed, or changed?

"The administration also pushed Congress to change a provision that would have denied U.S. citizens suspected of terrorism the right to trial and could have subjected them to indefinite detention. Lawmakers eventually dropped the military custody requirement for U.S. citizens or lawful U.S. residents."

Well,

Obama authorized the kill of Al Waliki (or wtv his name was) and his 16 years old son who were both US citizens (born & raised) without a trial.

If Ron Paul does not get elected, the human experiment of freedom will be over.

nothing more than a publicity stunt....its still there, trust me

I feel like the next few years of our lives are going to be fundamentally different to the point where America will no longer be what America once was.

Sometimes I try to talk to this about people in real life and they think i'm some kind of weirdo-radical..but i'm really not.

The problem America has is people always think it will be "America." America, by virtue of being America, cannot escape the laws of nature and the effects of policy. The only way to keep America great is to ensure proper policy decisions are made that will not adversely affect the political/economic/social structure of the nation. That's a concept a lot of Americans don't seems to grasp and which, in my mind, breeds complacency and reversions to old adages that America was and always will be great, manifest destiny is here to stay. Newsflash: We can really screw things up if we do the wrong things (whatever they may be).
