Curious to hear what are some random skills you’ve picked up throughout your career. For example, I’ll start it off. I’ve gotten really good at having an intuition for how long 30 mins is. Now, even if it’s an in person coffee chat, I can know when to wrap things up without glancing at my phone or watch and making things awkward.

Based on previous WSO threads, here are some insights on skills picked up throughout a career in CRE (Commercial Real Estate):
Problem-Solving: The ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently is crucial. In development, unexpected issues arise frequently, and being able to think rationally and find solutions that fit the budget without degrading the product is essential.
Communication and Soft Skills: As a developer, you need to be the "quarterback" or "conductor," coordinating various aspects of the project. This requires strong communication skills and the ability to trust and lead your team effectively.
Sense of Urgency and Ownership: A strong sense of urgency and ownership is vital. You need to be proactive and take responsibility for the project's success, ensuring that tasks are completed on time and to a high standard.
These skills are not only useful in CRE but can also be valuable in various other fields and situations.
