Parenting tips to maximize prestige?

After reading about the Harvard Asian Lawsuit it has come to my attention that children of legacies and donors have a meaningfully higher chance of getting in, per Harvard's own internal documents. This has me thinking about how I can maximize the prestige of my future kid.

Basically, if I can donate a couple million by the time my kid applies to college I think I'll be golden. I think the process looks like this: * Child is born - donate $100K to Harvard in child's name * Donate $100K every 2 years to Harvard in child's name (on his or her birthday, easy to remember) * The year before the kid applies to Harvard - donate a noticeably larger sum ($250K+)

Anyone know of other ways to give their kids a leg-up? I'm talking beyond obvious things like hiring tutors and education consultants, getting them middle-school/high-school internships, etc.

Because he's a dummy with no self-esteem who doesn't even realize it. If he's being serious. I hope he isn't.

I'm assuming you neither have a child nor a coupla million. Figure the first 2 out first before you put the cart in front of the horse.
