Penn LPS

Hello, I've heard Columbia GS students are moderately received well for investment banking, but what about Penn's LPS program?

I'm not sure about Penn LPS because I simply do not know enough about the program. I know Columbia GS can do quite well, but don't know how that correlates to Penn. Is Penn LPS more along the lines of Columbia GS where it is one of the undergraduate universities of Penn, or is it more along the lines of Harvard Extension School? Have you contacted the school to ask about career fields that graduates enter or searched for it on linkedin? Those might be better options than trying to ask around here where 99% of users do not come from a non-traditional background.

I am glad someone posted about the Liberal and Professional Studies Program at UPenn. It is unique in the sense that you can apply there without SAT/ACT scores. The admissions standards seems to be very low because the aim of the program is for non-traditional students and some Penn staff also are allowed to get their degree while working at a discounted rate. I see a benefit for people who are traditional students who may attend a non-target or community college because you graduate with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) just like everyone else in the College of Arts and Sciences. You can take your classes at the nighttime which is most convenient for the student body because they all work during the day. But you are allowed to take morning/afternoon classes with other Penn (CAS) students. Whether you take classes during the day or at night you still are able to get a world class education and access to the Penn alumni base and student organizations. The great thing about LPS, unlike Columbia, is the LPS program is a subdivision discipline within the CAS. Columbia GS is it's own undergraduate college within Columbia University. My only question/concern is whether if your transcripts will say CAS or LPS, that could make a big deal for MBA admissions or even Investment banking/consulting jobs(HR could pick up on it). That would be my only concern. Other than that I would strongly look into this program if you're at a Community College or non-target. If I have listed anything wrong or incorrect please correct me. Any University of Pennsylvania current students or alumni feel free to tell me your opinions or ideas about this program.
