I was born in a "third world country" - this shit is a joke. But then again, it's from zerohedge, so no surprise there.
There's really nothing to discuss. He's objectively wrong based on what that term means. He might think we work too much and blah blah whatever else, valid discussion topics, but we are a first world country if ever there was one. And never say "throw shade" again.

When you can't even correctly define the standard you are opining on, how the hell can you trust anything this author says? The guy could have done a simple wikipedia search, but no, he writes based on how he feels, not on objective fact.
1st, 2nd, 3rd world didn't come from Developed, developing, undeveloped - although I'm sure that's what this guy thinks it means. It comes from the cold war.
