Guessing the thickness of the colored triangles is volume of men at each given place?

So...average behavior drives no attraction at all..and increasingly "extreme" behavior (how do you quantify behavior? Or place it into standard devs away from the "mean" behavior"?) in either direction means increased attraction? Somehow not surprising, although it seems strange that it's exactly symmetrical across the center.

That's not what it says at all....

I don't think this is completely accurate. It's up to each guy to preform his own due diligence when assessing the value of a particular girl. For example, a guy looking for a hook up is going to value different factors than if he were looking for a relationship, but in both cases a girl's behavior would be taken into account. A girl who is slutty, has an active party life, doesn't talk to you other than to coordinate hooking up, and definitely has a side dude or two would not have the same value to a guy looking for a relationship. Regardless of initial level of interest or firmness of her butt, pursuit cannot be driven by interest but only through perceived value.

yeah, I'd agree with this, definitely depends on the girl's behavior. anecdotally, a buddy of mine I used to live with (he was single, I had a girlfriend) used to be very turned off by smokeshows because they wanted something serious, but a dumpster fire with a nice bottom half had him drooling if she just wanted some side action.

for example, when I was looking for a relationship I was glad that the girl didn't put out on the first date (later on, obviously not at the time), because that means that she's shacking up with other dudes this whole time I'm talking to her. if I'm looking for dating material, I want to have to work for it and then have exclusive access, whereas if you're tindering, you want her to have zero shame.

Exactly what others have said...it's to do with one guy and one girl. Obviously can be applied generally, but if a girl is looking at it and thinking about her behaviour and a guy she's thinking about in relation to it, it shows that the white area is where she's attractive enough to be pursued by him - if he really likes her he'll chase basically no matter what, and if he doesn't he will only pursue if she's not too needy or too hard to get. The more he likes her the more shit he'll put up with...

Dude is not that into the girl. She should act normal, otherwise she'll be too needy (playing easy) or too aloof (playing hard.

Dude is head over heels for the girls. She can play it however she wants and this guy will still pursue.

Not the most intuitive chart.

This is a fair summary of the chart. The question then becomes, is this actually accurate, both in general and specifically how it's presented in the chart.

I love when girls have high IL (interest level) which for me can actually increase my desire to pursue. The reverse is true for low IL.

So this "study" basically says to women "hey there is proof in here for all of you to justify your behavior!"
