PLEASE HELP!!!! All answers are appreciated.

I really want to work on Wall Street one day and I got into Miami OH which is ranked 22nd by Businessweek. I know it is not Cornell or Michigan but they do have an Investment Banking Club there. Basically Wall Street Executives come and talk to the club each month and you get to meet them and network with them. If I do really well at Miami and participate in the Club, what are my chances of getting into Investment Banking on Wall Street?

Here is a link to the description of the club just scroll down ( it's on the right): http://www.fsb.muohio.edu/offices/student-development/organizations#mui…

Would my chances improve if I was to transfer to Indiana University after a year and try to network from there?

Honestly dude, if you believe Miami OH has enough of a recognition and you can really stand out from all the other kids in the IB club who plan to approach execs and "wow" them to get a job - then you're good. Last I checked most of the firms are up in NY and Midwest (for shittier positions) so if you can transfer to IU and manage to bust your ass to get to their IB workshop which legitimately places kids into BB IB divisions, then do it for your career path. Personally I wouldn't put all my eggs in the IB club basket just in case it doesn't deliver or the competition is too high

Sincerely, - Non-target student who got accepted to IU but couldn't afford it
