Polyamory in banking

Thoughts on polyamory (open relationships included) in banking, or just the general attitude towards polyamorous people? Obviously not expecting anyone to get fired because of relationship status, but it's reasonable to assume that some folks will see it as a bit odd.

Have heard stories of a Russian MD at a BB who would have 10+ mistresses on rotation at a time. His PA's job was a nightmare trying to coordinate all of that lol. Don't think anyone really cares about this type of thing.

Is that really polygamy as opposed to cheating lol?

Top performer on my team is poly. Nobody really cares because frankly he's too much of a Chad and only brings up details of his life as answers to questions when probed about it.

With Pride coming up I had a Muslim friend recently ask me, "If your God saw fit to flood Sodom and Gomorrah, what do you think he should do to the US?"

I didn't have a good answer for him, but this post made me think of it again. I am curious to hear what thebrofessor thinks.

"The obedient always think of themselves as virtuous rather than cowardly" - Robert A. Wilson | "If you don't have any enemies in life you have never stood up for anything" - Winston Churchill | "It's a testament to the sheer belligerence of the profession that people would rather argue about the 'risk-adjusted returns' of using inferior tooth cleaning methods." - kellycriterion

I think im not in a position to tell god what he should do or not do, just try to live my life as best I can

Sodom and Gomorrah was much worse. If you remember the scripture, there weren't even 8 good people in Sodom and Gomorrah. While we are not the most holy country, you can find much more than 8 good people in just about any town or city in the U.S. Also, in Sodom and Gomorrah, the citizens literally wanted to sodomize the visiting angels. We're not on that level here.

So, short answer, God would not do anything to U.S.

No one worth a damn ever gave a single fuck about another person's sexuality/relationship status in a professional setting. 99% of the time there's no reason to even bring it up. Anyone who feels like it's a remotely significant part of their identity that needs to be disclosed up front and talked about at work is a pitiable loser.

I am curious though. When older, established men are "poly" it tends to be some married rainmaker with mistresses, but his wife is not sleeping around. Whenever I see someone below the age of 35 who's "poly" they're usually just a cuckold with an SO who gets to fuck around on them and as a consolation prize can occasionally find himself getting some on the side with the blue-haired types (in many cases his SO is one of them, or at the very least a hardcore leftie). Which one are you?

I honestly wouldn't bring it up and don't talk about it even if asked. IB is still quite conservative and I would say majority of people will think this is strange. Just no point in giving someone a reason to dislike you if they are against the poly thing

I know a couple people who live a poly lifestyle. From what I gather one partner just wants to cheat and the other accepts it. Small sample size for me though

This was always my impression. It always seems like it happens AFTER the couple has been together for years. Where one person decides they're too bored within the constraints of monogamy and the other person is so in love they have to accept it.
