portfolio management because you call the decisions once you're a PM and you just use research in your work. Investment research especially on sell-side is very sales driven. On buy-side its more independent but if you can have a say in the investment process if you attend investment committee. If I could pick portfolio management would be the one but mostly because that's what I am planning to do down the road.
