Press Secretary had shortest stint EVER

I'm sure you've all heard of the late Katie Zacharia. She's not dead, just fired after a horrific 5 days. The administration of meritocracy has a neptobaby as president, an alcoholic in Defense, the offspring in various positions and God knows who else.

If I were even a fraction as horrible at my job as the current administration has been with every project they've taken on, I'd have been fired and blacklisted by now.

From the tiniest of crap like cleaning up a pool to tanking the global economy with illegal tarrics and a war, it's like they chose the worst possible outcome in each instance.

It's not even a republican vs. Democrat debate at this point. There has been  competent Republicans in the past. I didn't agree with their views for the most part, but at least they weren't actively destroying institution in which they serve.

Icing on the cake has got to be the now allied ties with brutal dictators like with Russia 90-min call and flipping on the sanctions stance.

For those in the US... Am I missing anything or this administration in the pocket of Russia and Israel? It's hard to find any other modern president or administration that has been so detrimental to the US and so beneficial to their supposed adversaries.

You’re not missing anything. The Trump Administration’s entire purpose is to enrich the Trump family while basement dwellers like Stephen Miller and Pete Hegseth enact their little fascist fantasies. No one is remotely competent, much less intelligent or exceptional.

We’re being run by pedophiles and grifters, losing a war, and having our economy driven into the dirt, all because a single trans person played a sport or something and talentless podcasters got angry about it. Truly the dumbest fucking country in existence.

And that’s not even getting into the fact that MAGA women look like skin walkers…

...but is it REPE?

Zacharia was terrible at the  job and lied about being a lawyer. What's worse it shows an inept administration who failed to do background checks. She wanted to fake it till she made it, but purely didn't have the skills for that role. She's embarrassed, everyone is embarrassed. YUUUUGE failure. But, its just a press secretary role, it's not like anyone died or anything.

"If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them." - Bruce Lee

"how you do anything is how you do everything" - the administration can't manage the basic of functions of governance including a background check. People are dying, be it from the Medicaid cut off, the unnecessary war, ICE raid on legal citizens or any number of ways either directly or influenced by the administration's choices.

I just found this particular instance emblematic of their continued incompetence.

Katie Zacharia vs lettuce

Liz Truss is insulted by this comparison. The head of Lettuce declined to comment though.

The only difference between Asset Management and Investment Research is assets. I generally see somebody I know on TV on Bloomberg/CNBC etc. once or twice a week. This sounds cool, until I remind myself that I see somebody I know on ESPN five days a week.

Oh, if only that were her only mistake. She... 1) lied about being a lawyer despite never passing the bar exam 2) claimed China doesn't have proper toilets, 3) revealed sensitive information in the Q&A effectively contradicting the Whitehouse's stance on Kimberly Guilfoyle, 4) messed up two other press briefings on top of her first one.

This was all within 5 days. Not a few weeks or months, literally next to the each other. If she was nervous and that bad, maybe spend 2-6 hours preparing for a press briefing you're leading? Work out expected Q&A with approved messaging? I've seen undergrads do more work on their stock pitches than this person at her "job".

Eh think you’d be surprised. Many folks who join banking tend to be the folks who value stable institutions (you’re joining a bank after all) and meritocracy. Regardless of right or left leaning sentiments folks value institutional stability and competence.

Yeah idk about that. Not sure I've ever gotten deranged DMs or have been shadowbanned and I've been vocally anti-Trump since the beginning.
