Private Clubs Chicago

I wanted some opinions on joining any of the private clubs (Union League, University Club, Metropolitan Club, etc.) in Chicago. I live and work downtown so I'm guessing that the access to the gym makes the financial aspect fairly attractive. I'm wondering if any of these have much to offer a younger professional networking opportunities and how difficult they are to join. Also if anyone has any color on dues and initiation fees, it would be helpful.

Every one of those clubs wants younger members. You’ll need to be recommended by a member but that’s easy enough.

The club will introduce you to a member, a quick meeting and he writes a one-sentence letter to membership committee saying you’re a valuable addition to the club and you’re voted in.
