PTO across BB: ANL

Would like to compile a list of PTO, Vacation Days, Sick Days, Personal days, etc at BBs within IBD for First Year Analysts

What is the norm ?

Assuming ~10 days a year, however I’ve heard some European BBs give 20 days a year, can someone confirm?

This is for Americas

From your other posts, you're an incoming FT analyst - good luck with that attitude. Not how it works. Your staffer and deal teams have to approve all of your vacation. Every day you take off is a day that your projects are stuffed onto another analyst, there is very little extra capacity. They will make sure everyone gets some time off, but analysts do not get to take every single vacation day.

A common policy is that first years can take about 1 full week + a long weekend or two (so 5-7 "days off" total) and usually people wait until after the holidays to take that, unless they have a wedding or something similar to attend. but no NYC first year analysts are taking 20 days off lol time for a reality check.

First year analyst. Euro bank, got 10 days for my time between July start date and EoY. Could roll over all 10 if I wanted. This year I get 24 and I believe it increases 2 days per year up to a max around 35. Hope this helps

My team is relatively chill about letting me take it too. Just a couple weeks notice and It gets approved

This is in addition to the 10 US bank holidays right? Would assume so but wanted to confirm since it’s a Euro bank

3 weeks PTO, 3 personal days, 7 sick days, NYSE holidays and usually unless there’s a urgent timeline for a deal our group generally takes the NYSE days off - at a middle market.
