I've been watching the X-files lately. Great show. Great chemistry btw Mulder and Scully. First show I ever saw starring Duchovny was Californication and I can see all that "Hank Moody" wit is actually just Duchovny being himself.
When the show aired back in the 90s and early 2000s, conspiracy theories were nothing but great contents with huge entertainment value. But nowadays, it's turned into a giant propaganda machine we now call QAnon, which is corrupting this country one brainless person at a time.
I couldn't help but notice how much similarity between the X-files and QAnon exist. So here goes my own "conspiracy theory" on clusterfuck of conspiracy theory that is QAnon.
1) In both X-Files and QAnon beliefs, there exists a "shadow government" that secretly works against the American people.
2) There exists a secret alliance of powerful people who work together to influence geopolitics. And they'll do just about anything to achieve their goals.
3) There is but one savior who will help fight the shadow government (or the Deep State). In X-files it's Fox Mulder. I guess for QAnon believers, it's Trump...
I also have a thought on where the name "QAnon" comes from. Of course, everyone knows that "Anon" is a short for the word "anonymous". But what about the letter "Q"? If you pay attention to the details in the X-Files, whenever they show a shooting range within the FBI, the targets are always marked with the letter "Q". Coincidence?
I'm not claiming that these connections are definitive proofs. But I highly suspect that this "QAnon" guy is nothing but an X-files geek turned a cult(ish) leader.
The very first post of Q-Anon was on 4chan. The poster called himself "Q", hence Q-Anon. And yes, you heard that right. 4chan.
4chan? Geesh.
But why 'Q'? Because he questions things? He has a quest? Or maybe it is the letter 'Q' for shooting targets in the X-files? Wherever the name comes from, it is a pretty catchy name I gotta admit.
I believe the poster claimed to have a “Q” level security clearance. That’s where the Q comes from.
Just looked up what "Q Clearance" is. It's a Department of Energy clearance. What a joke of a person this "QAnon" is. And the fact that people don't even fact check what "Q clearance" even means but are willing to believe this guy... What is wrong with people?
I believe it was in Corinthians, “Thou shall not lie when posting on 4Chan, it must be treated as commandment. Written on the internet is akin to writing in stone.”
To be fair, what they believe isn't that wacky when you consider the international politics scene and politicians profiting off of the hardworking people in this country.
