Quick, easy, and delicious snacks/meals
Does anybody have any good food ideas that are quick and easy (<10 minutes) to make? Before you say use your meal stipend, I use it in the evenings but get a little hungry when I'm working late at night as well. Getting sick of making nachos. Thanks.
I just eat the snacks in the kitchen. If they're out, I have a loaf of bread
Edit: not letting me post anon anymore, so i'll reply here. I dont buy the snacks myself, I just eat the ones in the kitchen. Is that not a normal thing? The pantries get restocked every week with chips, cookies, popcorn, nuts, cereal, etc.
Any suggestions for those? When I’m grocery shopping I find it difficult to select good snacks

My firm makes me pay for the snacks in the kitchen. MFs can't just give a packet of free Doritos late at night
How do they know if you ate Doritos? You fill out an expense report for it? How does it work?
So if you want to eat anything from the kitchen, you have to scan it and pay using your own card. I am not sure if they'll find out if someone ate without paying, but not something I am willing to risk after the Citi senior level employee got fired for 'stealing food' from the cafeteria.
Wow
Yeah it really sucks, especially since I am in tech IB in a pretty expensive area. My bank's name is abbreviated in the phrase 'bofa deez nuts' if you are wondering what bank this is. Citi level moves
it's great this has 2 meanings
Do you have any diet things you watch out for? I know it may sound dumb since it's often a kids snack but maybe a PB&J. Unless you're gluten free or on keto obviously. But if you get good bread (whole wheat or whatever) and natural peanut butter (no added sugars) it's a bit calorie dense but no super unhealthy (I'm sure there's also healthier jams / jelly alternatives)
Almond butter is also a great choice, although it’s also bit of calories
To piggyback off of this recently I've been eating rice cakes with peanut butter spread on top as a snack. Pretty good and decently filling.
low calorie - bring hummus and sliced cucumber/carrots from home
high protein - duke's beef jerky/sausages
most prestigious - adderall, juul, and cashews
Just to note, a lot of the hummus brands like Sabra have soybean oil, which should be avoided.
"New research shows soybean oil not only leads to obesity and diabetes, but could also affect neurological conditions like autism, Alzheimer's disease, anxiety, and depression."

Brands like Hope hummus have Extra Virgin Olive Oil, which is much healthier.
Thanks for the heads up on the soybean oil
thanks for this, I keep forgetting not everyone's on the "fuck soy and seed oils" train. olive oil, avocado oil, coconut oil, animal fat, that's all you need
Just make it yourself at home. When I do make Hummus, it takes me about an hour to do (not that I haven't perfected the recipe, but some aspects can add a little bit of time to it, plus I make it all from scratch) but it's better than anything I can buy.
damn, what happened to the European standard (cigarettes and coffee)?
As long as you smoke the cigarette with a child in hand, yes
- Toasted PB&J on wheat
- Everything bagel toasted with melted cheddar cheese and 2 eggs over easy
Second is extremely fire. Add some everything but the bagel seasoning too… delicious
Vyvanse.
Dine like a king, feel like a god.
Put cucumber (refrigerated is best for summers) on cutting board and smack it flat with knife, then cut into bite-size chunks. Mix with some salt, soy sauce, and diced garlic.
add some chili oil and that's a banging side dish
Granola crisps - super easy to just toss some oats, raisins, brown sugar, and milk (/anything else you like) in a bowl, spread the mixture evenly in a sheet pan, then bake it in the oven for 45 at high temp. 5 minutes prep for a great snack, breakfast, or sprinkle over cereal.
Breakfast egg muffins - mix whole egg, meat and cheese of choice, and potatoes/peppers, your choice into muffin tins and bake for like 15 minutes. Quick, easy, delicious
Eggs are very healthy.
If late night then tea + protein bars for me. Tea helps me stay awake & protein bars (I know not the most tasteful thing) will fill my stomach whilst avoiding loading myself with carbs (which could turn into fat if I go to bed shortly after the snack).
If I'm sick of it, then I'd simply switch to a lot of berries + protein powder + almond milk into a blender.
Sometimes I will go much less healthy with dried snack (either dried fruits or dried squid).
Sliced apples with peanut butter
My bulking supplement is 3 large tablespoons of peanut butter + chocolate chips, melt 60 seconds until it's a sauce, mix, and add cereal
ramen
cheese, cheese sticks, beef jerky, nuts, jamon
I eat fruit that's in our office's kitchen, usually bananas or clementines. On top of that, I have a plain chobani greek yogurt (no added sugar) and put some berries and honey in there. Pretty tasty concoction.
Smoked salmon is really good, especially with a bagel or bagel chip and cream cheese.
well it's delicious yeah, but bagels aren't exactly the healthiest bread, although there really is nothing like a good lox bagel.
Yeah true
