Real life use cases of AI for our jobs

Interested in learning how you guys use AI (ChatGPT of course but also other more specific tools) in your everyday life to make the job easier. I am not talking about the (very) common answer like summarizing market reports, writing email for you, preparing company description for profiles... but other more specific tasks that you find have been automated / simplified by using AI tools (for Excel, PPT, Outlook, notes...).

Thanks!

Based on the most helpful WSO content, here are some real-life use cases of AI in the finance and investment sectors:

  1. Data Processing:

    • Sentiment Analysis: AI tools can run sentiment analysis on earnings call transcripts to gauge market sentiment.
    • Neural Networks: Used to count the number of cars in a parking lot, providing insights into retail activity.
    • Text Extraction: AI can extract text from scanned paper receipts, making data entry and analysis more efficient.
  2. Quantitative Stock Screening:

    • Machine Learning Models: These models are trained on years of fundamental data to surface interesting investment opportunities.
  3. Risk Management:

    • Advanced Statistical Techniques: AI helps in hedging out correlations and unwanted factor exposures from a portfolio manager's stock selections.
  4. Automation of Complex Tasks:

    • AutoGPT: An AI agent capable of achieving objectives given in natural language, such as planning and booking events without human intervention.
  5. Productivity Tools:

    • Excel and PPT Automation: AI can automate repetitive tasks in Excel and PowerPoint, such as data analysis, chart creation, and report generation.
    • Outlook and Notes: AI tools can help manage emails, schedule meetings, and take notes, streamlining communication and organization.

These examples illustrate how AI is being integrated into various aspects of finance and investment, enhancing efficiency and decision-making processes.

This site makes overview white papers for startup company ideas. I send a lot of these sort of basic descriptions around to incubators and early stage investment funds so it’s just straight up helpful:

Also I started generating images for social media posts I make on Xiaohongshu. They’re somewhat blurry but better than text alone for post views.
