Why would you want to go into commercial banking and then ultimately into IB/PE ten years later??
If you really want to get into IB, then go get a good MBA and break in as an associate. You are still young enough and sounds like you will have a fine background for a decent business school.

You can get a commercial banking role after a year or two of your current stint. If you want to break into FO, that's what an MBA is for.
