Rolex Yacht Master?

Considering buying a Rolex in the near future.

what are your guys' opinion on this watch? (not the YM2, they look horrible IMO) I have a really small wrist for a dude and the 40mm subs just don't sit right on my wrist so I am considering the 37mm YM as an alternative. I think the design is quite nice, but I haven't really seen anyone wearing it around office.

I would appreciate any reviews or experiences you guys might have with this watch.

Thanks!

I catch a lot of flak for my watch tastes, mainly because I'm broke and don't own any 15k+ watches. However I am a watchmaker, so I've had the chance to fondle, wear, and repair a lot of Rolexes. With that said, YMI>YMII. If you have a smaller wrist great that you acknowledge that and don't try to wear something like a 41mm anyways. The YM is a little thick though, and will wear like a larger watch, if you like that look then I think you'll be very pleased. For office wear I would recommend getting it on an oyster in lieu of the rubberized strap as it tends to catch on the sleeve. FYI: sub40mm watches are coming back into fashion. I think the smaller pieces are going to hold better value in the future than something like a DJ41.

No strong opinion on the YM but as someone with a smaller wrist that collects watches, as an everyday wear that's still very nice, the 39mm OPs are great. You would have to get one used since Rolex doesn't make the size anymore, but there are plenty of reputable places to get one. Depending on the color you want could cost you anywhere from 6-9k. Even though I own a bunch of watches, I end up wearing the OP 80% of the time and it's such a great fit that I have thought about buying one in all the different colors so I have a watch for pretty much any occasion.
