Based on previous WSO threads, here are some tips for teaming up and excelling in your MSc. Finance & Investments at RSM:

  1. Networking Early: Start connecting with your peers as soon as possible. Attend orientation events, join relevant student groups, and participate in online forums to find like-minded individuals.

  2. Clear Goals: Ensure that everyone in your group is aligned with the goal of graduating cum laude. This shared objective will help maintain motivation and commitment throughout the program.

  3. Skill Assessment: Identify the strengths and weaknesses of each group member. This will help in assigning tasks that play to each person's strengths, ensuring high-quality work.

  4. Regular Meetings: Schedule regular meetings to discuss progress, address any issues, and keep everyone on track. Consistent communication is key to successful group work.

  5. Resource Utilization: Make use of all available resources, such as faculty office hours, library materials, and online databases. Leveraging these can provide a significant advantage in your assignments.

  6. Feedback Loop: Constructively critique each other's work and be open to feedback. This will help improve the overall quality of your assignments and ensure that everyone is learning and growing.

  7. Time Management: Plan your work well in advance and set internal deadlines. This will help avoid last-minute rushes and ensure that you have ample time to review and refine your work.

  8. Practice Presentations: If your assignments include presentations, practice them multiple times as a group. This will help you deliver a polished and professional presentation.

  9. Stay Informed: Keep up with the latest developments in finance and investments. This will not only help in your coursework but also make your group discussions more insightful and relevant.

  10. Support Each Other: Finally, support each other through the challenges of the program. A positive and collaborative group dynamic can make a significant difference in your overall experience and success.

Good luck with your MSc. Finance & Investments at RSM!
