SA in Mayfair, where do I live?

Landed an SA gig in Mayfair, and trying to figure out where to live and when to start looking for flats / people to live with.

Budget: GBP 1.5k per month (would prefer 1k but can go up to 1.5k)

Priority: Proximity to office, ideally within walking distance. Prefer to avoid tube as far as possible.

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Are you interns high? Anything within a walking distance of Mayfair will not be 1K a month. You can spend 1.5K if you share with 1-2 other people on SparerRoom. 1K gets you a parking space in a Mayfair garage. Pimlico is also not walking distance by any stretch of the imagination since it will be at least 40-45 minutes. If you want something that is realistically walking distance (20-25 mins) go for Paddington or the Edgware Road area. Alternatively, you can cycle in with a Santander from areas like Pimlico or St. John's Wood in 10-15 mins. Also worth considering.
