Serial Panelist

Has anyone noticed an increase in people who legit just 'host' or 'sit' on Panel Discussions? I call them serial panelist. But I'm curious as to other peoples opinions. I feel like it fills a lot of my IG and LinkedIn timeline today. With high definition pictures that are still shots that make them look like they are saying something deep.

Idk why but I hate it and it irritates tf out of me. Now realizing part of this post is to vent. But its just amazing how social media has turned everything into a bunch of fake bs. Do Panel - get cool pic - post to IG - get everyone who attended to follow you - get put on another panel. Rinse repeat. These people also usually have "Creative Visionary" in their LinkedIn.

Then delete IG and only use LinkedIn for job hunting. Seems like that's a lot easier than trying to change the culture of social media.
