Sport With Best Exit Opps: Lacrosse

Lacrosse players say the sport rewards the kind of determination required to do well on Wall Street. “By and large, lacrosse players aren’t necessarily the best athletes in the country,” says Joe Lizzio, a former Cornell player and co-founder of CapRok Capital. “We don’t have huge vertical leaps or run the 40 [meter dash] in 4.4 seconds.” The best lacrosse players “are smart kids that put in the long hours,” adds Cummings. “The same goes for finance, where you’re going to do well if you can outwork the other guy.”

Alright monkeys, if you're not playing lacrosse and you want to break into finance, this article makes it clear that you're not doing everything you could be to maximize your chances.

That's right folks -- apparently lacrosse is the most played sport by Street minions.

Please rank the following sports in terms of prestige / exit opps...I kid, I kid...seriously though...

I think the same can be said for any sport...but for some reason lacrosse tends to cater more to those WASP-y, 18-22 year-olds who want to go into finance.

What do you guys make of this? Who played lax in college? Don't be shy!

Man, that was a weird angel. Comparing sports with success on the Street.... wow. Causality FTW.
