Starting a boutique because of a banger name?

Greeting primates!

When I am bored at work (like right now) I tend to dream, and often I dream of brands. Brands, logos, typefaces, this all is for me the most fun thing to play around with, shaping an entire identity around lines on a piece of paper. Now, I have a bit of an obsession with the history of my country and a few years ago I came across a very, very old banker family (think Rothschild-tier) that had fallen onto hard times during the 30's (quelle surprise...), but had resurged after the war, only to fall into disgrace again shortly after. Now, the family still exists, and that got me thinking: If the Rothschilds could buy their name-rights back from the French govt and this family did something similar in the 50's to build a new future, can I not do the same? See, I am currently in M&A and if I continue on that path, being an MD is not out of the question (even though I am horrible at this job, but that never stopped anyone's career in this business...). And what MDs often do is they either found their own boutique and if I was to found my own boutique, I would really, really like to use the name of this family. Yes, they're disgraced, but a bad brand is better than no brand, and Rothco does business with the Saudis, so history should pose no threat. I was thinking Industrials/spec sits advisory.

What do you think, is this a stupid idea? For the record, I am NOT in a position to do this anytime soon, but I can't shake the feeling that this would be super cool. To the interested I can DM the logo I created, of which I am actually pretty proud.

please dm logo. nothing more desperate than down-on-luck blue blooded families... once you've gained some deal flow, try reaching out to the family itself

I had a lot of followers back when I was on social media and would dm companies saying id “promote” their stuff. I probably got $5k all in of free shit doing this during college. Made myself a logo (well stole the logo from someone with the same initials after I asked if I could use it and she said no so I blocked her).

Anyways, I know a guy who does insurance for rich families in the Caribbean. He insures all their “non-cash” valuables, so jewelry, property, all types of shit. Dude makes $3-4M a year and doesn’t really have to do anything because he’s had the families as clients for years. He’s in his late 50’s.
