This was painful, hilarious, and a mockery but congress was a mockery before this so I guess its a wash

I would have this moron arrested if I was on this panel. Also, I would have myself and fellow house panel members arrested for asking about immigration from a comedian who is on Comedy Central.

Some of the wisest men in history were comedians.

Frankly, I think the guy is spot on.

Moreover, I always thought it was weird to see people who are so pro-free market to recoil at the idea of free movement of Labor along with Capital.

yea he had really good points i couldn't believe that one representative would be so disrespectful and take out her phone during his speech

If you actually listen to what he said (when he spoke in character AND when he spoke out of character) it was insightful stuff.

Also, this is NOTHING compared to when he roasted Bush. God damn that was insane.

He didn't roast bush in the Congressional Chambers it was at a fucking writers dinner

I'm not saying he didn't make good points I just thought it was a bit over the top. He and John Stuart both went to college about 130 miles apart by the way in case anyone was curious.

^^Really you can't believe that? At the end of the day, she's a fucking congresswoman and he's a comedian. It would be no different than an MD pulling out his phone when an analyst came into his office for a quick meaningless update.

he constituents voted her in to take this shit seriously they aren't paying her salary for her to play brick brake on her black berry

I totally agree with you in principle but I just don't think that's reality.

drexelalum11What do any of you think the purpose of congressional hearings is, if not to score cheap and partisan political points and deliver pre-packaged soundbites and compelling visuals?

That also happens to be the purpose of the Colbert Report (and the Daily Show).

Cobert it a minor moron. Stewart on the other hand is a full blown moron. Neither one have any business testifying before congress. I resent that my tax dollars are wasted on such bull shit.
