Struggling to network and make friends in a new country - anyone else managed to figure this out? (NYC)

Came here a year ago and because I am practically at work all day I have still not been able to make any friends. Just the floating acquaintances… As an immigrant, it also feels like nobody wants to make the effort to reach out or be friends. Presumably because of the cultural differences? I work in IB and so there is also a lot of work-related schmoozing required - which isn’t working either. I am trying to figure out what I may be doing wrong Depression starting to set in, impacting mysleep as well as my motivation at work
