Republicans in NC are pushing a bill that would ban Tesla in NC. Thoughts? Is this good for free-markets when governments can just just ban companies without any good reason.

The ban is on directly selling cars to consumers. It protects car dealerships.
Yet another example of the government fucking shit up. Everyone hates going to car dealers because car salesmen are scumbags. If you could only eliminate the middle man and just buy directly things would be great. NC would be screwing themselves by doing this since people who can afford to buy a Tesla can also afford to simply purchase it out of state and then register it.
Government protecting a monopoly. Gotta love it.
Did you read the article, its a bill that hasn't been passed yet. You should change the title of your thread and edit your post as its totally misleading. Even if it did pass I'm sure a legal battle would ensue, which Tesla has already won/in process in other states for similar issues with dealers.
Dumb move on SC side. Why would they ever consider doing that?
