The only ones you really, really need to see to know what's going on are the 4 Avengers movies. After that the Iron Man, Thor, Captain America trilogies (9 movies) provide the bulk of storytelling for you to be called "a fan." The remaining 8 are like video game side-quests. I've seen around 10 of them altogether and I don't think they're any worse than anything else you find in theaters. At least these are fun stories with a fun bandwagon experience. Going to the movies and cheering with the crowd is great, and so few movies give a chance to do that. It's basically Game of Thrones but rated G.
