The Maldives - Thinking of going.

So I'm looking to spend about 2 weeks in the Maldives in January and was wondering if those who have been could share their experiences.

Thankfully my Dad worked for one of the major airlines so I've got free flights until I am 26 on all the global carriers through his retirement package, so costs aren't going to be that bad for me.

I'm more concerned about making sure there are other normal, single-type people running around the place too or if there are certain places that are better for single travellers. I'm not fussed about the nightlife as I'm more keen to get involved in the water sports side of things / chilling out.
