Things to learn

I work in Commercial and have a decent amount of downtime this time of the year. I've always been a fan of constant learning but I've hit a wall of sorts as of late.

Do you have any recommendations for free learning courses? Hopefully we can compile a list of resources that'll be helpful to others.

Thanks

ditto for coursera and khan academy.

if I had a lot of down time, I'd do 5 things:

  1. master a current skill I'm so-so at (again, not selling or work related, something like a sport/hobby)
  2. learn a new skill (not like math, something like muay thai that I'm interested in but have not made time for)
  3. read 1 book a week, and not just on business, but classics, religion, psychology, history, etc.
  4. learn a job related subject (MIT OCW, coursera, khan academy are all good)
  5. foreign language - duolingo is great
