3+3=6 5+5=10 7+7=14
I win.
Yah I got this as well.
50?
54 ( series is X^2 + (X-2) with plus sign alternating)
33 = 10 ( 3^2)+ (3-2) 55 = 22 ( 5^2)- (5-2) 7*7 = 54 ( 7^2)+(7-2)
46?
46?
The series would look something like this: 1+1=4 3+3=10 5+5=22 7+7=34 9+9=46 11+11=58 13+13=70 Etc...
I think you got the first bit wrong. Since the only odd number prior to 1, would be -1, it should be (1-2)+(1-2) = -2 (Otherwise there's no reason to choose 1 over, say, 0, or 7 billion). Why -2? Because (-1)+(-1) = -2. Other than that it makes sense. I like mine better though.
Come on people...
It's 34.
Who the fuck cares. 7+7 = 14
So I guess some broke punk could just say hey my bank account = $1,000,000.00
Lets just make up math from now on. Why the hell not that's what bankers do anyway.
Beat me to it.
There are at least a few right answers to this problem, but nobody has come up with a better solution than me. Plus, I had a first mover advantage. Bada-bing, bada-boom.....CEO. Someone could have just said that you add 12 each time and it is also correct, given the information given, but it's hard to charge a high fee for something like that.
I'm with heister. Nevertheless, I'm going to say 43.
38?
so I just added all the prior numbers, and then an extra depending on where it lies on the sequence.
3+3=10 --- 1+2+(3+3)+1 {because it's first in the sequence} = 10 5+5=22 --- 1+2+3+4+(5+5)+2 {second in sequence} = 22 7+7=? --- 1+2+3+4+5+6+(7+7)+3 = 38
I'm with Dick, it doesn't make sense to reverse a sign every second part of the series.
